Energy in Human and Nature Across Cultures: East -West Heritage in Motion

BLUE ENERGY

  • A collaborative artwok which visualises what I call “Blue Energy”. I believe that within human body, there are different types of energy with several colours and forms. These energies vary from person to person and also shift over times. Through my ongoing practices as a creator, I discovered the blue energy; an energy that has very quiet but profoundly powerful like a deep ocean at night or big night sky that enhold the Earth and seemingly eternal. The small shining stars and reflections on waves in those nature represent the potential talents, hopes, and any special perspectives that we are all born with.

  • This energy exists within everyone, but not always there. The moment when I felt this blue energy brought me to the idea of capturing the time and feeling and preserving them by translating them into my visual form using threads. The complexity and movement of the threads reflect the intricacy of human heart and brain, as well as a certain ductility which you just live along nature in some cases. In the process, water is used to dissolve the base fabric, leaving only the threads that are carefully placed by hand following the shapes. While it’s simple method, this process actually holds a technical depth of embroidery.
